Worldlink joins the One Global Community
One Global is delighted to welcome another of the world’s leading TMCs to its ever-growing community.
Worldlink Travel, one of Sri Lanka’s foremost travel companies, has joined as partner for not only Sri Lanka, but the Maldives too.
Having formed in 1991, award-winning Worldlink focuses on providing total travel solutions matched by high service standards.
In addition to being a leading travel agency, Worldlink also owns and operates two hotels in Sri Lanka – The Amaara Forest in Sigiriya and The Amaara Sky in Kandy.
Add to that, Worldlink are also Sri Lanka’s general sales agents for Princess Cruises and South African Airways.
Jodie Gentles, Managing Director of One Global, said: “We pride ourselves on inviting only the world’s very best TMCs to our community and Worldlink definitely fits that category.
“Ahintha and Gerard and their team at Worldlink are well respected around the world thanks to putting travellers at the heart of everything they do.
“That’s the very essence of what our community is all about and we’re looking forward to having Worldlink contribute to the continued success of One Global.”
Brothers Ahintha and Gerard Amerasinghe founded the travel business, with Ahintha getting his first taste of One Global when he attended the partner conference earlier this year in South Africa.
Ahintha takes care of the marketing side of the business, while Gerard looks after the day to day running of the company and will be the contact for One Global operations in Sri Lanka.
Ahintha said: “Worldlink Travel joined the One Global community to explore opportunities to work with the other TMC partners worldwide.
“Sri Lanka is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world hence we would love to work with One Global partners to help promote Sri Lanka.”
This official announcement of Worldlink joining One Global comes shortly after Worldlink was named a Top Agent award at Singapore Airlines’ annual travel awards.
